With this experiment, we wanted to find out at what point we start to experience the feeling of awkwardness in public. To do so, we went to different places on our campus and in the city and noted our impressions in the following settings:
1a. Standing together with someone
1b. Standing alone
2a. Standing together with someone + bag over your head
2b. Standing alone + bag over your head
Results:
• company gives feeling of safety
• you only feel awkward when you can see other people
• feeling of unsafety overshadows awkwardness
