To combine our findings from the first semester on body language and awkwardness, we created an installation which could be used as a method to make the impact of our bodies’ position and the circumstances on our credibility visible. To do so, we put the speaker on a pedestal with a very small surface and placed an imaginary audience behind them, which showed laughing or confused facial expressions. This was accompanied by sounds of laughter, as well.
Results:
• only being put in a powerful position does not directly make us more powerful
• body posture, background and audience changes power relation
