POWER in HEALTH

What is the meaning of having a HEALTHY BODY in relation with POWER in SPACE ?

Can our body become a SPACE of our EXISTENCE<?

How do we create a HEALTHY SPACE

The making of “THE BOX” experiment. Box made of frames, cardboards, dark plastic in the inside and aluminium sheet on the outside. On site experiment with kids, ask them questions on how they think of the space inside and request them to give opinions when we spined the box while they were standing. After the experience, some kids answered our survey with eager and positive comments, others said spinning made them unexpectedly dizzy.

The thread maze

While experiencing the installation, you have to claim for your power to be standing straight and keeping your balance inside it because this space challenges your ability to control or to be controlled. Are you going to let the space have power over you or manage yourself to get out? Do you really have to win over this space or is it about the interaction? In the next experiment, we each tied ourselves with a color-thread and let it create the traces within the installation. As results, each of us left different traces since we approached different directions. The last experiment, we covered Chila’s eyes so the space had control over her. And she had to find her way out by using other senses and followed the sounds as guide.

“I feel unstable when I experience this structure. Every line in this installation is easy to change, the connect points in this box are moving when your body attaches it. It likes some power effect, the energy flow from our body to the lines. The weather is also affected by the air flow, there is a weather map like a web in the air, and every attack on the web can influence the weather.”

“It is really hard to get into the frame as it is too messy. I had to find my way and looked for the way that my leg can enter. After standing inside the frame, I felt relieved, powerful, a bit proud because of the hardness and difficulties. They were very interesting experiments although it seemed chaotic at first”

 Jenny

“When I first entered the maze I felt lost in the beginning and a little confused, then I tried to find my own space and fit my body with the surroundings, and I felt supported somehow with all the thread around me.”

Chila

“Entering the maze was a little confusing at first, at some point I felt covered by all the threads around me it could be two approaches at the same time, maybe feeling stuck and then anxiety. But I strangely felt supported and hugged by the space. I didn’t have to fight over power and just let the space guide me or offer me all the power or take all my power through out the experiment.
The maze was the game of interacting with the space for me.”

Conclusion

Our health is our power and the space is capable of both affecting our health and be affected by our health. This interaction is crucial to have a balanced and sustainable life.
