We aimed to explore the power of scent perception by engaging participants in a multi-sensory experience. Students were exposed to unfamiliar odors and tasked with visually representing the smells through collages of colors and shapes. Additionally, they used cut threads to symbolize the volume or length of each scent. This experiment delved into the power of sensory perception, highlighting how our sense of smell can evoke emotions and memories. By bridging the gap between scent and visual representation, we sought to empower individuals to express and communicate the intangible, demonstrating the transformative influence of sensory experiences and with this create a visual vocabulary for scent.
