
Our habits are created by design and create design at the same time. It’s a matter of interaction. We have habits or even addictions in our modern lives. We are all at some point addicted to technology, even unthought and unconscious. We do everything with a designed gadget. I designed an experiment of living 7 days each day 6 hours without technology and stayed in various spaces to see how space can affect my addiction to my phone. I even involved walking in my experiment. I walked for hours without my phone and experienced a huge difference in how the physical activity of walking brought me out of my need to live in my powerful virtual world. I then documented my experiment with sketches. Are we really gaining our lost power in the world of technology or are we unconsciously losing our power?
