Research question: How do we relate objects and sounds?
Step 1. We chose 12 differently textured objects.
Step 2. We chose 4 sounds from different places:
1. ASMR cork material (private/material);
2. Waterflow (nature),
3. Street concert (public space);
4. Landing plane (technical sound).
Step 3. We asked people to sit under a box (to create an immersive experience) and listen to the sounds one by one.
Step 4. Afterwards, they were asked to select an object from the set based on their first intuitive impression and explain their choice.

Experiment outcomes and findings:
Participants identified locations mainly by matching sounds to familiar materials or objects, relying on prior knowledge and assumptions about the environment when exact matches were unclear.
